When can I create a CN22 label?

What is a CN22 thermal label?

CN22 Label

The CN22 label is a single, A6-sized customs declaration that can be used for:

  • International Express Merchandise
  • International Express Documents
  • International Standard without Signature

It is used primarily for parcels that do not exceed a certain value or weight limit, which can vary by country. The CN22 form needs to be completed by the sender and attached to the package so that customs authorities can process the shipment.

When can a CN22 label be created?

A CN22 label can be created under the following circumstances based on the code provided:

  1. Parcel Dimensions: The combined length, width, and depth of the parcel must be 90cm or less.
  2. Maximum Dimension: No single dimension of the parcel can exceed 60cm.
  3. Total Consignment Value: The total value of the items being shipped must not exceed $500 AUD.
  4. Parcel Weight: The total weight of the parcel must be 2kg or less.
  5. Transit Cover: The shipment must not include transit cover.
  6. Destination Country Eligibility:
    • For shipments going out via Express, all countries are eligible except for China.
    • For Standard shipping, the eligible countries include Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
  7. Shipping Rate Criteria: If the shipment is using an International Standard product, it must not include a "Signature on Delivery" service.

If all these conditions are met, a CN22 label can be created for the shipment.

What happens when a CN22 label can't be created?

When a CN22 label cannot be created, your carrier will default to generating a CN23 label, which requires a desktop document printer for printing.
